EDWARD F. WHIPPS: My name is Ed Whipps. I have been practicing since 1961. After high school, I went to Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. I majored in business administration and economics. I did a minor in psychology. And after that, I went to law school at Ohio State University, where I got my juris doctoral degree.
We serve everyone in central Ohio, including Columbus and all of the surrounding suburbs. I decided to practice family law after about 20 years or more of doing corporate litigation, finally deciding that my interest in psychology will lend itself well for me to practice in the field of family law.
I think one of the major differences between our firm and others is that we have a good deal of information and background in the field of psychology. Well, I served for ten years on the Ohio State Board of Psychology. And in that capacity, I met almost all of the psychologists in central Ohio. It's given me the opportunity to pick a lot of good minds and to get a lot of information and to find out the resources where I can go and study.
So I think the combination of a lot of experience and a background in psychology and child development can often be a real key to a successful divorce case.
